Becoming a Canary Care Inspector

Residents and families have no one working FOR them.  As CNAs we know how often residents and families are blamed for interfering or being difficult when they just want honest answers.

We also know as CNAs working inside those homes are not allowed to share information with residents and their families unless given approval.  Often, we are discouraged from ever telling them anything.

This is our time to be heard, seen and helpful to those who never get to know what we know to protect their loved ones.  The system counts on them not knowing.

You cannot be a care inspector in a home where you are employed.  Canary Care Inspectors will work for families who pay privately to have an observation visit made to their loved ones to ensure they are receiving quality care.

Care Inspectors will perform a full body inspection, complete a report and send electronically to the family or responsible party.  Care Inspectors will receive full training in observational skills, digital communications and support.

Qualifications:

  • Certified as a nursing assistant in the state where you live.

  • In good standing with the State licensure board.

  • Provide your certificate/license number.

  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in skilled nursing care (nursing homes).

  • Provide 3 professional references, each who can attest to your work experience, observation skills and reliability.

  • Must have good communication skills, customer service, and computer skills. Families will be placing TRUST in Canaries, and we will always strive to be our very best in skill, observation and consultation.
